Kelly is a physician assistant in the NeuroDevelopmental Science Center at Akron Children’s and co-director of the Summer Pediatric Research Scholars program. She’s been practicing at Akron Children’s since 2016. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Mount Union in Alliance, Ohio and a master’s degree in biomedical sciences, physician assistant studies from the University of Toledo in Toledo, Ohio. Kelly went on to complete a pediatric surgical physician assistant fellowship at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston, Texas. She has a special interest in pediatric trauma, pediatric brain tumors and spina bifida. Kelly is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Pediatric Trauma Society.
