Dr. McPherson is a child abuse pediatrician and director of the Children at Risk Evaluation Center at Akron Children’s. He’s been practicing since 2007 and with Akron Children’s since 2016. He earned his medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine (formerly MCP/Hahnemann School of Medicine) in Philadelphia, Pa. and completed a residency in pediatrics at Akron Children’s. Dr. McPherson went on to complete a fellowship in child abuse pediatrics at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. He is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in child abuse pediatrics and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Ray E. Helfer Society. Additionally, Dr. McPherson is a clinical associate professor of pediatrics at Northeast Ohio Medical University.
