Dr. Heksch is a pediatric endocrinologist in the Center for Diabetes and Endocrinology at Akron Children’s, where he’s been practicing since 2019. He earned his medical degree at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. He completed a pediatric endocrinology fellowship at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, where he previously served as a pediatric resident. Dr. Heksch has a special interest in muscular dystrophy and steroid adverse effects. He is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in general pediatrics and pediatric endocrinology. He’s a member of Pediatric Endocrine Society, Endocrine Society and the American Academy of Pediatrics. He’s contributed to a number of professional articles, presentations and research, and is a core faculty member for Akron Children’s’s pediatric residency program.
