Dr. Martinez is a pediatric pulmonologist and division director of the Robert T. Stone, MD, Respiratory Center at Akron Children’s, where she’s been practicing since 2000. She earned her medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine and completed her pediatric residency and pediatric pulmonary medicine fellowship at Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital. Dr. Martinez has a special interest in asthma, cystic fibrosis and pediatric pulmonary diseases. She is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics with a subspecialty certification in pediatric pulmonology. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of American Thoracic Society and a professor of pediatrics at Northeast Ohio Medical University.
